Por qué La CanastaWhy La Canasta

La inflación siempre fue un problema enorme en Argentina, y un tema muy sensible: hubo ministros de Economía que, ante una pregunta sobre la inflación, prefirieron no responder.

Argentina tuvo inflación alta durante buena parte de su historia, y el dato oficial sale una vez por mes, semanas después. Ramon Pepa creó La Canasta para tener un número diario, independiente y abierto sobre lo que más le importa a las familias: los precios del supermercado.

Inflation has always been a huge problem in Argentina, and a very sensitive topic: there have been economy ministers who, asked about inflation, chose not to answer.

Argentina has had high inflation for much of its history, and the official figure comes out once a month, weeks later. Ramon Pepa created La Canasta to provide a daily, independent and open number on what matters most to families: supermarket prices.
